The 6th Annual Something Wicked Halloween Music Festival Was Wicked Fun & Supported Hurricane Harvey Recovery Efforts

The 6th annual Something Wicked produced by Disco Donnie Presents kicked off Saturday at Sam Houston Race Park. The weather was amazing with plenty of sunny skies and not too chilly. Dance music fans showed up in costumes ranging from scary to sexy.

The lineup included Above & Beyond, Marshmello and Elephante, Tiësto, Zeds Dead and RL Grime. On the Shadowlands main stage, we saw Tchami, Nghtmre, Alan Walker, CID, Dominic Parisi and Evan Evolution. The Bass Crypt stage featured What So Not, Ganja White Night, Bleep Bloop, Quix, ATLiens, Saylus and Atwood. The lineup for the Mystic Meadows stage included Vini Vici, Aly & Fila, Cosmic Gate, Solarstone, Spencer Brown and Ambition.

The park was one of the few venues spared from the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey, making this particular disaster something that hit quite close to home. Something Wicked recently announced a charitable initiative of more than $165,000 for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. It includes donations from headliners Above & Beyond, Tiësto and Marshmello. Proceeds will go to Houston Food Bank, Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity and more.

“HARVEY WAS A DEVASTATING STORM, AND OUR HEARTS AND MINDS GO OUT TO THE MILLIONS AFFECTED, INCLUDING THE THOUSANDS OF OUR FANS IN TEXAS ALONG WITH THEIR FAMILIES. MANY FANS ASKED IF WE WOULD CONTINUE WITH THE EVENT AFTER THE STORM, AND WE REALIZED WHAT THIS EVENT MEANT TO THEM. WE KNOW THESE CHARITIES EXCEL AT SWIFTLY PUTTING RELIEF DONATIONS TO WORK IN THE AREAS THEY’RE NEEDED MOST AND OUR FANS ARE THE HEART OF THE FESTIVAL. IT IS IN TIMES OF NEED THAT WE DISCOVER THE FULL IMPACT OF THE ELECTRONIC MUSIC FAN COMMUNITY”.
