Black Coffee Brought the Heat to the Newly Reopened Brooklyn Mirage

One of my favorite venues in New York City, the Brooklyn Mirage, delivered as expected. With top notch production (think flamethrowers, lasers, and bass that vibrates your soul), the vibe of the crowd, and Black Coffee selecting from Midnight till Sunrise, it couldn’t have been better. People were stoked to be there and the post-covid excitement was buzzing throughout the crowd.

While on the upper level of the open air space, with a 360 view of the boroughs, fireworks could be seen all night long, adding a whole different layer to the magic of this July 4th night. At times it felt packed, but I found a nice spot on the main level towards the rear where I still had an epic view of the stage and plenty of space to move and boogie all night long. Vajnee and Joe Claussell gently warmed up and energized the crowd with the perfect ambiance for Black Coffee to bring the heat. There was a smaller, indoor space within the venue that had its own show going on with Tal Obana and Justin Strauss manning the decks, providing a nice juxtaposition to the main event.

The venue utilized a digital cashless system for drinks and food, with money preloaded on the entrance band bracelet. It was easy to navigate and explore the venue, and there was even a lounge with comfortable couches, chairs, tables, and phone chargers away from the music to chill out and experience some trippy visuals that were playing on a large screen.

The numerous times I’ve seen Black Coffee, he has never failed to put on a tremendous show. Paired with one of the best venues I’ve been to on the East Coast, the experience was incredible. I highly recommend you get to a Black Coffee show and to New York City to experience Mirage.

Make sure to grab your tickets to one of the exciting upcoming events at the Brooklyn Mirage. In July the decks of the Mirage will be graced with: Deadmau5, Chris Lake, All Day I Dream, Tycho, Elrow Festival & Flying Lotus.
