Imagined at Imagine Music Festival 2019

Imagine Music Festival 2019

Imagine Music Festival occurred on September 20th-22nd with a little pre-party in the campgrounds on the Thursday before. The Atlantic Motor Speedway in Georgia really shook the boat with sea creatures and dancing music that weekend. FestPop got a chance to experience this aquatic experience at ground level with the rest of the festival-goers. This year was the Imaginarium. Without a doubt, the festival gave us the opportunity to experience the health and wellness of the lost civilization.

Campgrounds

Imagine had a multitude of campground options surrounding the Atlantic Motor Speedway. Getting your car checked was a breeze if you treated the security just how you wanted to be treated. Show some enthusiasm and they showed you enthusiasm to get you inside those grounds quickly! On the other hand, if you saw anyone sulking and looking impatient at camping security, they were probably getting their car searched top to bottom definitely checking for those glass bottles you weren’t supposed to bring in.

The campgrounds surfaced a very large area. Even pulling in Friday night you had a breeze finding a camping location. I always say, your music festival camping neighbors can really make or break your experience. At Imagine, you were probably at your campsite for a decent amount of the weekend, especially with the few hours the Atlantic Motor Speedway was open for festival-goers to air out from the hot campsite. Neighbors were a part of your experience! I saw many campsites merging throughout the weekend which just shook my little happy tale feather. Sharing is caring at music festivals and the campgrounds truly bring out the best in most of us.

Everyone should experience a camping music festival at least one time in their life and Imagine Music Festival is a great one to hit. I saw so many kind gestures from the neighbors of Imagine Campgrounds. I saw a blissful glimmer fill a girls eyes as a guy offered her a hot dog as she was walking by. Who would’ve thought a hot food can give such pleasure! As well as that, all throughout the campsite you saw people sharing food and water and supplies with not a rude soul in site. You could’ve gone alone or with a group to Imagine Music Festival and no matter what you were welcomed by the Imagine Community.

Thursday

Imagine decided to absolutely throw it down at the Thursday pre-party. With the lineup stacked from Space Jesus, to Sullivan King b2b Kai Wachi b2b Kompany, Blunts & Blondes, then to close with Throwdown! Disco Inferno stage was absolutely ridiculous. Undoubtedly , it was a dream come true for many festival-goers who purchased their ticket in advance and got the fourth extra day for free.

Friday

Openers for all four stages included DrinkUrWater, White Rhino, Teriyaki Noise, and Too Heavy Crew. The openers have a huge job at music festivals. Especially the first ones of the weekend. They set the mood for the stage and get those festival-goers wanting more.

Disco Inferno kept the boat rocking with a lineup filled with Boogie T, Subtronics, Dr Fresch, and Rusko. Oceania kept the aquatic theme going with a wavy schedule of Svdden Death, K?D, Rezz, and short notice closer of DJ Diesel. Diplo had to pull out of the lineup and Shaq was happy to take over for him. The new stage TechYes lived up to its name with Doctor Boom, Clyde P, and Amine Edge & Dance giving everyone the true techno experience. Whether you were partying since the gates open or was bundled up in a cozy sweatshirt rewarding yourself for setting up your campsite with a great Space Mom set, Imagine really impressed us on the first day.

Apart from the raging Speedway, on your way back to the campgrounds you could find the party still going. You could shop till you dropped at the vendors and get all items from food to handmade paintings by the vendor himself. Walk a little further and you got to the silent disco which silently partied until the sun literally rose. If you didn’t want to wear headphones, but wanted to keep partying? Don’t worry there was another stage in the campgrounds bumping and grinding on The Struggle Bus even if nobody was standing in front of it till the early morning.

Saturday

On Saturday, Amazonia opened up to give festival-goers a spice to their weekend. Stacking that stage included JuJu Beats, Goldfish, Cherub, G Jones, and the cutest closers Louis the Child. You can never be unhappy at a Louis the Child set, so if you stuck to Amazonia, you were going home to your tent happy. Surprisingly, the Six Feathers stage caught you on your way to Oceania from the Art Zone. It almost comes out of nowhere, but once you hear it, you may get stuck. Walking into Six Feathers could have you surprised with DJs including Meachie & ZewMob, 6F Family Set, Darude, and BT. I could say many times throughout the day I had to pass by that stage and ending up taking way longer to get to my destination because I couldn’t help but get groovy with the people.

Disco Inferno caught everyone walking down those Speedway stairs as Wax Motif bumped house music through the speakers. I saw people running to get to that stage. Following Wax Motif was Anna Lunoe who kept everyone dancing and building up for the stage to be closed by the one and only Lane 8. Oceania stage was the stage of the day that just kept you locked in with repeated amazing sets. Festival-goers filled the Oceania stage all day to see Eddie Gold, 1788-L, Ghastly, Alison Wonderland, and cry a little to Above & Beyond. Above & Beyond got everyone in the feels. Whether you were shaking your body on the rail or laying in the back on a blanket or air filled couch, they really ended the Saturday perfectly.

Sunday

Festival-goers were definitely moving at a slower pace on the last day, but that doesn’t stop them from being able to experience the opportunities Imagine Festival had to offer. There was Transformational Workshops including Yoga, Permaculture, Aerial Arts, Flow Arts, Mastery of Life, Meditation, Yoga, Sacred Geometry, Consciousness, Mindfulness, Art, and many more. Inside the Speedway you could observe live art throughout the weekend and absorb the final piece on the last day.

Imagine Music Festival 2019

The final day acts including getting emotional at Oceania with Said The Sky, Alan Walker, Seven Lions, and Marshmello. Or you could have continued dancing at Disco Inferno with Vivid, Justin Jay, Justin Martin, and Claude Vanstroke. You can bet the strong ones of the weekend were ending their Imagine with front row at the house music god. Also, Detox Unit and Tipper impressed the people as they kept Amazonia going on Sunday. Imagine Music Festival brought it all on the final day and didn’t mess around with the food either.

Food

Festival food is one of the most important parts of the weekend! We have to eat all the calories we are dancing away obviously. The talk of the town was the Pimento Grilled Cheese from Brainfood called Super Cobra. I saw Freddie’s Grill Chicago gave everyone their Mexican fix if necessary. In addition, you could even get a Turkey Leg if you wanted from E & M Trailer. Walking down that food court drive just had you drooling over noodles, burgers, mac n cheese, cheesesteaks, and whatever you were craving.

FestPop & Caren West PR

All the appreciation goes out to Caren West PR for giving FestPop the opportunity to experience Imagine Music Festival with their own eyes. It was an experience we will never forget.
