Ring in the New Year at New Bohemia in San Francisco

FestPop - New Bohemia NYE

Ring in the New Year with San Francisco subculture entertainment leaders Vau de Vire, Opel Productions, and Kink.com at the return of their new multi-stage, multi-dimensional New Year’s Eve adventure, New Bohemia NYE, featuring Elite Force, The Scumfrog, and Lee Coombs, at iconic SF Armory in the Mission, San Francisco.

Celebrating its second year after a sold-out premier last year in San Francisco’s notoriously competitive New Year’s Eve event roster, New Bohemia NYE returns to offer its novel kaleidoscopic wonderland of activity and experience to the partyscape. Throughout the vast sprawl of The Armory, a colossal brick fortress rising out of San Francisco’s Mission district, an elite army of the city and West Coast’s finest DJs, bands, circus performers, poets and live painters, acrobats and absinthe hawkers, art cars and visual treats are all to be found in different markets, plazas, private upstairs chambers and enticing dark corners and streets inside New Bohemia. Burlesque dancers, and vaudevillians will create a surreal mix of sights and sound in dozens of rooms small and large, with legendary electronic music artists and DJs, Elite Force, The Scumfrog, and Lee Coombs.

The Armory’s hangar-sized Drill Court will house four stages, two of which will be supporting the event’s eclectic array of top-tier EDM DJs and circus acts, two giant steel play structures with aerial performances, art cars, an exotic lounge, huge kinetic sculptures from well-known Burning Man artists, and food and beverage vendors. Kick back in Cabana Row- new private raised platform areas alongside each main stage in the Drill Court with couches, seating, tables and optional bottle service available.Upstairs, The Armory’s lavish Parlor compound will be home to the Kinky Bohemia VIP area, with an exclusive selection of top electroswing and house DJs, burlesque performers, models, and circus talent. And the basement, which extends across the entire footprint of the building, will be Catacombia – a new deep & dark dance area in the Armory basement in the ‘Roman Baths’. Each of the themed rooms will showcase a vignettes by the Vau de Vire Society, an avant-garde troupe of over 40 talented performers.  Also this year, private studio rooms for rent and vending areas from local designers.
