Ambrose, the Americana rock and roll band based in Hollywood, have released a new single titled “Carry On.” The five member ensemble creates a minimal rock composition with the traditional four-instrument rock band setup. Through very calculated sounds, Ambrose manages to hit that sweet spot somewhere between Creed and Bruce Springsteen.
“Carry On” begins as a somber depiction of the downsides to a meaningful breakup and how, long after, the feelings and memories inevitably catch up to anyone. However, the real power in the lyrics comes with the singer’s triumphant declaration to look forward and move on. He beckons back to New York City as his healing place, lifting the listener along with himself, setting the inspirational scene for acknowledging heartbreak yet powering through. All of this is solidified and reinforced by the compelling backup vocals by member Z-Rose. Listen below:
