Emily Hearn, 24 year-old pop/rock singer and songwriter, continues to release beautiful, inspirational songs. Her latest album Hourglass, was written with her bassist husband, Michael Harrison, and features collaborations with several artists including Ben Rector (“Please, Don’t Take My Love Away” and “Save Me”) and Emily Lynch (“Volcano”). Her first single, “Volcano” has been released exclusively on CBSNews.com and can be listened to here, and is now available for purchase on iTunes. The song tells the sad story of a dying love and a relationship slowly falling apart.
Hourglass is a set of songs written by Hearn over two years of significant, impactful life moments. “We fall in or out of love as time moves us. We learn life-changing lessons as time goes on. We figure out how to handle important relationships as time shapes us. We decide who we want to be and what we believe as time reveals our priorities. And ultimately, we grow older as time goes by,” said Hearn.
Hearn has also announced her tour beginning in March and running through mid-May, attending many major west coast cities and over thirty venues around the United States. Tyrone Wells, another rising singer/songwriter acoustic star, will also be on the tour with her.
Hourglass will release on March 10, 2015, as a followup to her 2013 Promises EP and 2012 album Paper Heart, which included the song “Rooftop” and featured a dancing, drum-playing Bill Murray in the music video. Watch it below.
