If you happened to miss its January 22 release date, Grammy award winning icon, Tiësto, and superstar producer, Oliver Heldens, released their highly anticipated hit new single ‘The Right Song’ which features the powerful vocals of Dutch  Natalie La Rose. The track, emerging as a result of the astounding success of the instrumental version release last year, is now available to stream via Spotify for your listening pleasure. Let me be the first to tell you, the track title says it all–it is the right track.

Towards the end of 2015, we did not get to hear much from Natalie La Rose following her debut single Somebody and then Around The World, her follow-up track. But, have no fear, La Rose is back for more with this trio’s recent release of ‘The Right Song.”   To avid fans, you may have noticed that the track itself may sound familiar, as it is none other than  Tiësto and Oliver Heldens’ “Wombass.” But, Ms. La Rose, an established R&B singer and songwriter of her own, offers up her powerful vocals that add an entirely new and improved sound to the original collaboration.

The music video for ‘The Right Song’ for the track also premiered on Billboard but can be watched below:

While the audio, heard without the context of the video, may seem to be just another party anthem, but the video adds the depth that sound cannot simply translate. The video plays upon the transformative/escapist qualities of music, as a downtrodden office cleaner is overcome by dance and allows her imagination run free. Essentially, it channels the idea of the power of music to allow one to leave the mundane of their everyday jobs, lives, etc. simply by being overcome by a track. The viewer is spirited away to this world. Created by the famed directing collective, Shynola–famed for work with everyone from Coldplay to Radiohead, Beck, Blur, Queens of the Stone Age and more–tapped into the weird and wonderful dance sequences in such films as Footloose and The Coen brothers’ 1998 classic, The Big Lebowski, to create the magical world of the cleaner in the video. Here, vacuums become animated and tables become stages as she deals with the aftermath of a wild office party whilst listening to ‘The Right Song.”

The video’s fun and upbeat sequences are the perfect complement to the sure-to-be-party hit single. Tiësto, Heldens and La Rose, have created an explosive club anthem with this new track; one which features Tiësto’s signature euphoric melodies, Heldens’ futuristic bass tones, and the addition of La Rose is the icing on top of the cake. Natalie, the powerhouse vocalist whose single, “Somebody,” featuring Jeremih was one of the biggest hits of 2015, adds an additional layer of complexity to the duo’s previous track. Her vocals complement Tiësto and Heldens’ production perfectly–bringing the song to new heights and creating an immediately infections hook.
