The legendary North Coast Music Festival, NCMF, just announced a surprising addition to its headliner list, as well as new names to its stellar lineup. The Chicago festival is scheduled to take place on September 1- September 3 at Union Park.
Exciting New Announcements
North Coast’s organizers were thrilled to reveal that Les Claypool would be returning to the festival with his incredible funk ban, Primus. The group will perform their iconic musical creations and ground-shaking energy on Sunday, September 3. Primus’ recent addition to the NCMF lineup comes as a introduction to the band’s soon-to-be-released ninth studio album. It is expected to release later this year. The band’s revolutionary style is renown across the globe as an innovative and quirky musical style. Their performance at NCMF is clearly not to be missed.
The festival’s organizers were also thrilled to announce that the up-and-coming Belgian music group, Ganja White Night, would be joining the lineup on September 3. The group is known for their unique style of harsh dubstep that will definitely be a highlight of the festival.
Ganga White Night’s most recent and eighth album,” Mr. Wobble,” introduced a new and sophisticated element to the band’s aesthetic. It contains mixed heavy sounds with a reggae-tint.
Even More Incredible Lineup Updates
Bob Moses, a Canadian duo that is now rooted in Brooklyn will also perform at North Coast Music Festival on Sunday, September 3. The group’s amazing music has recently gained international recognition as their hit “Tearing Me Up,” was nominated for a Grammy Award. This song was their leading track on their first album, “Days Gone By.” RAC also remixed “Tearing Me Up,” winning them a Grammy. Bob Moses is famous for its hypnotizing bassy sound that is combined with soft vocal styles. Their style has earned them spots at some of the most exclusive music festivals’ lineups. Additionally, they have been hosted on esteemed outlets like BBC Radio 1.
Finally, North Coast Music Festival’s organizers announced the addition of Autograf to the 2017 lineup. This Chicago-based electronic group will perform for the first time in Chicago since Spring Awakening last year. Their wonderful musical style that is primarily composed of futuristic and celebratory sounds, has earned them global fame. In fact, Autograf just completed an international tour, “Nobody Knows.” As the group recently released their newest single, “Simple,” which was partially produced by The Chainsmokers, their performance at NCMF will be an awesome return celebration in their home town.
