Cage the Elephant at Pemberton 2014
Pemberton Music Festival is a three-day contemporary music festival in British Columbia’s scenic Pemberton Valley, near the foot of majestic Mt. Currie. Despite slightly disappointing ticket sales last year, the festival is set to return in 2015 with the promise of improved campgrounds, VIP offerings and another awesome lineup. Scheduled July 16th through the 19th 2015, the festival announced that they will begin selling Early Bird tickets soon.
“We’re incredibly excited to announce our dates for 2015, and look forward to welcoming the best artists and fans in the world back to our beautiful festival site,” said HUKA Entertainment co-founder and CEO A.J. Niland.
Early Bird tickets for the event go on sale December 12th, at 10 AM and will allow fans to buy tickets at the discounted rate of $229 for a four-day GA pass. Festivalgoers must also purchase an $89 camping or shuttle pass, or a $29 Go Green pass (which are in limited supply!) Once the first tier of Early Bird tickets are sold, prices will increase to $255 for the long weekend.
For the fan that feels like splurging a bit, Early Bird VIP passes will be available for $899 and Super VIP passes for $1,399. These include amenities like air-conditioned bathrooms, VIP viewing areas, and special food and drink areas, and much more depending on your level of VIP.
2015’s lineup hasn’t been announced yet, but if last years is any indicator it should be amazing! 2014’s roster included Outkast, DeadMau5, Kendrick Lamar, Metric, Modest Mouse, Snoop Dogg, Above and Beyond, and tons more big names.
Last year, the festival provided a blend of on-site camping and off-site hotel options. With a view like the one on the festival grounds, we can’t see why anyone wouldn’t want to camp! Campgrounds for 2015 are expected to improve and expand to include property on both sides of the Sea to Sky Highway as a sort of satellite camping option. Campers parked on the south side of the road opposite the festival grounds will have the option to camp there, and will not be required to carry their entire camps to the festival site. The festival is making sure that it’s more convenient for festie-goers to get around.
“We have been working hard on an improved camping load-in and load-out experience, including additional campgrounds closer to parking areas, and improved footpath surfaces, which means campers will have an easier time carrying, wheeling and pulling their gear into the site,” said Niland. “We are also adding more transportation assistance from the parking lots to the main campgrounds immediately adjacent to the festival, which means more rides for more campers in general.”
With all of the scheduled improvements and the festivals impressive booking skills, we’re betting this is going to be a great time. Get your Early Bird passes before they’re sold out!
