RUFUS DU SOL Releases Third Album SOLACE

This past week, RUFUS DU SOL released their highly-anticipated third album “SOLACE” on their newly launched Rose Avenue imprint and Reprise Records. The electronic trio from Sydney, Australia, has shattered fan expectations and delivered an outstanding follow-up to 2016’s BLOOM. The latter served as an outward journey into the complexity of relationships, whereas SOLACE feels like an inward dive into finding your own peace and maintaining the most complex relationship of all—the one with your inner self.

SOLACE LP

A recurring motif in the trio’s past three albums has been the balance of opposites. Nature and the city; fear and acceptance; the natural and the unnatural. And it’s somewhere between these that we find the core of human emotion and experience. This balance is reflected in SOLACE as it incorporates elements of rock-and-roll, house music and haunting vocal performances by singer, Tyrone Lindqvist.

Behind his exceptional vocals, there is an aching and conflict that contrasts the powerful beats that urge you to never stop moving. SOLACE brings you into a soundscape that makes you contemplate your innermost beliefs about yourself and the world, while keeping you dancing from start to finish. Whether you find solace in your partner or within yourself, this album will speak to you.

SOLACE TRACK LIST:

  2. Eyes
  3. New Sky
  4. Lost in My Mind
  5. No Place
  6. All I’ve Got

 SOLACE TOUR

The beauty of RUFUS DU SOL is reflected best in their live shows. Their loyal fan base has grown exponentially worldwide within the past few years. This past summer, they headlined both weekends of Electric Forest and debuted live the first two singles from SOLACE (No Place & Underwater).

This weekend, the group kicks off their North American tour with a string of shows in the southern U.S. including a set at VOODOO FEST in New Orleans. The ‘SOLACE TOUR’ already boasts 33 stops with more to be announced. The tour ends abroad, but fans can catch them again this winter at ODESZA’s SUNDARA FEST in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
