The wonderful Russian River Jazz & Blues Festival is proudly celebrating its accomplishment of 40 years of fun! Within the last four decades, the festival has brought world-class musicians to the beautiful town of Guerneville, CA. This quaint little down is situated very close to the gorgeous scenery of the Russian River.
This two-day festival and celebration is scheduled for September 10-11, 2016 at Johnson’s Beach & Resort. This venue is an extremely special place as it is immersed in the world-famous California Redwoods.
The Festival Lineup
The festival is proud to announce its headliner, guitar slinger Jonny Lang and blues storyteller Keb’ Mo’ on Blues Day, Sunday September 11. Moreland and Arbuckle, Nikki Hill, and even Blues Hall of Famer Bobby Rush will also join Sunday’s festivities.
On Saturday, Chaka Khan, Sheila E. and Brian Culbertson will also light up the stage on Russian River’s Jazz Day on Saturday, September 10.

In addition the fantastic jazz, blues, and roots tunes that will soundtrack the weekend, guests will also be able to dance and party on the river with friends! Local wineries will have booths at the Wine Garden. Guests can taste delicious wines from labels such as Rodney Strong Vineyards, Kokomo Winery, Korbel, and more.There will even be arts & crafts stations and a tasty eclectic food court.
There will also be a myriad of water activities that are accessible near the festival. Visitors can kayak, paddle boat, and canoe at the nearby beach. Umbrellas and beach chairs also available for rent for those who prefer to lounge on the shore.

For out-of-towners, camping is also available at Johnson’s beach. The campground hosts cabin-type rooms, a game room, a coin laundry room, and even a BBQ Area!
