Social Festival Announces Activities and Stages


The 2016 Social Festival just revealed its final details. The beautifully unique festival  hosts not only fantastic music performances, but also special attractions, special stages and settings, and more. A new addition this year is The Social will offer camping for the first time. The festival take place at the gorgeous Kent County Showground in Maidstone on the September 9th and 10th.

Social offers an incredible music experience for its visitors. Fans of international electro music should be ecstatic to hear that techno artists like Agoria, Eats Everything, Loco Dice, Sasha and Digweed, Carl Cox, Gerd Jansen, and Bicep are all scheduled to perform. The disco-funk star Andrew Weatherall is also scheduled to perform. Additionally, this year’s lineup includes legends such as Laurent Garner, LTJ Bukem, Goldie, and Roni Size. This lineup is too incredible to miss for any electro music lover.

The Social Festival cares about the local community and therefore as incorporated local businesses and artists to its fantastic experience. It is impossible to get bored at The Social, as visitors will be offered an incredible variety of activities aside from music. Get excited for a zip line that will allow them to gaze over magical festival’s scene, a giant graffiti wall for spray painters to express some creativity on, and an outdoor movie theater that will showcase music related films. The Social will also offer a shopping mall with items for sale from some of the UK’s most elite designers. Moreover, in case these attractions do not fit your fancy, not to worry. This year’s Social Festival also offers, hookah lounges, cocktail bars, hippy booths, tattoo artists, oxygen bars, pampering booths, 24 shops, crystal ball and tarot card readings.

The Social’s Magical Environment

The music and the incredible array of activities are not the only thing that makes The Social special. It aims to enrich its boutique environment, resulting in an awe-filled experience from start to finish.  The highest quality production is guaranteed. There will be several main music stages. The first, the Meadow, is a huge moving structure that creates a dark, cozy, and comfortable environment. The second, the Barn, contains big screens, intense strobes, and thousands of lights to emulate a futuristic ambiance.

Another fun area is The Stables. This forested area includes old farming equipment, hay bales, and a big barn for partying.  The Bamboo Village offers a calm experience with Buddhas and an organic environment where guests can chill out. Additionally, dance magazine MixMag is hosting a canopied area where the DJ booth is centered in the middle of the crowd. This will allow the music to be at the center of its listeners. Finally, luxury is available at its finest in a special VIP area. Patrons of the VIP area will enjoy massages and luscious amenities.
