Sunrise Morning Balloon Launches
Wine & Main Stages- 6:30 a.m.
Marvel at the sight of 40 – 50 hot air balloons floating effortlessly over the Temecula Valley Wine Country in Southern California. There is nothing like watching these giants go from a colorful piece of fabric to a glorious hot air balloon. All launches occur at sunrise on Saturday & Sunday morning when the winds are calm and the air is stable for safe flight. Gates open at 6:00 am. Don’t be late as the balloons will land by 8:30am. *Weather permitting
Morning Balloon Tether
Wine Stage- 7:30 AM
After the morning launch several hot air balloons will set up in the wine stage area for FREE tethered balloon rides. A tethered balloon ride is when the balloon is attached to the ground with ropes. The balloon then ascends 50 – 75 feet giving an amazing view of the Festival grounds. This is a great introductory balloon flight! Balloon tethers will operate for approximately 2 hours on Saturday & Sunday mornings. Lines can be long, so arrive early! *Weather permitting
Evening Balloon Glow
Wine Stage- 8:00 PM
If an early morning Festival arrival is not your thing, you can join other festival attendees after the sun sets for a spectacular night time show as hot air balloons light up the evening sky. The balloon glow is a Festival favorite! The glow begins after sunset on Friday & Saturday evenings when the winds calm. The balloons will inflate and ignite their burners in a magical dance. Bring your chair and family, this is a MUST see! *Weather permitting
