The Groove Cruise & The Whet Foundation

The sold-out Groove Cruise is sailing out of Miami on January 9-13, 2020 and making its way to Costa Maya. The experience is not only the most incredible way to dance to world-class DJs including Above & Beyond, but also a chance to meet the legendary Anjunabeats curators and many others. The Groove Cruise is giving music lovers the chance to give back as well as win free tickets to the exclusive event.

The Whet Foundation

The nonprofit Whet Foundation is a way for Groove Cruise and it’s parent company Whet Travel to give back and use their visibility to connect, assist, and educate communities they sail to through hands-on campaigns. Initiatives such as beach clean-ups and supply drives for local children’s charities wouldn’t be possible without the efforts and enthusiasm of the Whet Foundation volunteers. As part of Groove Cruise, attendees, also known as “Captains,” will be asked to bring school supplies, unused clothing, and other items to donate.

Activites

This year’s activity sign-ups are also a fundraiser to benefit the Whet Foundation and include:

But don’t worry because it doesn’t end there! To be entered to win a spot at one of the 19 Artist-Fan activities, sailing #GCFam just need to sign-up and make a donation to the Whet Foundation of any amount here.

But wait, there’s more! Groove Cruise is also offering a special Grand Prize option for anyone who may have missed the ticket sales. Since the floating festival is now sold out, contest entrants can donate-to-sign-up for a chance to win a trip to meet Above & Beyond during Groove Cruise Miami 2020. This includes flight credit to Miami for two, a balcony stateroom for two, and access to all of the Tier 1 headliner’s Artist-Fan Activities (Note: If a sailing Captain wins, their stateroom costs will be reimbursed). Interested fans simply need to visit here.

For Groove Cruise Miami 2020, anyone looking to take part in the Whet Foundation’s relief project will be visiting Casa de la Cultura, a local school in the village of Mahahual, Costa Maya. During this excursion, volunteers will help facilitate upgrades such as clearing an area for a playground, a new coat of paint for the school, supplying a new air conditioner, and treating 450 locals to a hearty meal, as well as bringing the donated school supplies and clothing to the students and staff. Many volunteers rate their Whet Foundation experience as the highlight of Groove Cruise! To learn more about the Whet Foundation, visit the Whet Foundation’s official page. Those interested can also follow the Whet Foundation on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
