With no overlapping sets, Bay Area cuisine, and the gorgeous, panoramic views of the San Francisco Bay serving as the festival’s backdrop, Treasure Island Music Festival is a must-attend event for any festival goer. This smaller two-day festival hosts Outkast, TV on the Radio, Massive Attack, and Zedd among others on a venue surrounded by water in the cool Bay Area breeze. The festival’s treasure chest hides an array of interactive art installations and roaming performers only seen and experienced by TIMF goers. A 60-foot Century Ferris Wheel is the event’s beacon and is the perfect opportunity to enjoy music amassed the wondrous scenery.

WHAT TO BRING:
- Clothing: Partying on an island calls for beachwear, bright festival attire, and water-themed clothing but don’t forget to bring a jack because night times are cold, very cold. And if Karl the Fog plans on partying with festival goers this weekend, you can expect temperatures in the upper 60s in the afternoon.
- App and Schedule: One highlight about TIMF is that they are no overlapping sets. You can easily stroll between the three stages to catch each and every artist’s set without the worry of missing your favorite performance. HOW TO GET THERE AND AROUND:
- Transportation: There are several ways to get to Treasure Island. You can board complimentary shuttles, drive yourselves, or boat to the Treasure Island Marina (awesome!). All general admission and VIP tickets include complimentary bus pick-up and drop-off at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. While this feature is highly delightful, we encourage you to show up early to avoid long lines. The festival will provide limited numbers of parking passes for drivers and carpoolers. - Migration: Review the map (when it is published) with your friends and detail your action plan. Wear comfortable shoes, even boat shoes are stylish and practical, to easily bounce from one stage to another.
WHAT TO DO:
- The Art: Experience large-scale art on the grounds. The Dancing Lady will most likely make her appearance at the festival, as Treasure Island has been her home for the past few years. There will be other art installations, some of which have been to other festivals like Burning Man or Coachella, but it has yet to be announced; you’ll just have to witness them at the festival. Experience theatrical performers as they dance on stage, through the crowd, and throughout the venue. The party gets crazy, so be prepared to lose your mind with the performers and each other.

- Century Ferris Wheel: A beacon of the island and the festival, the Century Ferris Wheel is a highly-recommended activity for festival goers. Although we recommend riding it during the sunset to take in the beautiful Bay Area scenery, it may not be the best idea; thousands of people are likely to ride the wheel during this time. But if you are up for it, the reward and experience is well-worth it.
- Silent Disco: Take a break from reality at the Silent Disco, presented by Silent Frisco. Laura Lisbona, DJ M3, Anthony Mansfield, Motion Potion, Luxxury and others are slated to perform at the festival.
