Ye Scallywag! Is New Festival Coming Soon

Ye Scallywag! is an exciting new festival premiering this October. This brand new event will be a day long celebration where guests can enjoy live music, wine, craft beer, a delicious food.  It is scheduled on October 22 at the Waterfront Park in San Diego, CA. Synergy Global Energy, SGE, the state’s most acclaimed beer producers, Brew Ha Ha Productions, San Diego’s most popular alternative radio station 91x, and California’s leading rock radio station, KFM-BFM are all proudly producing Ye Scallywag!  The experience promises to be a blast with such an incredible team of producers. The day will be filled with booths of artisan wineries and 100 craft breweries! Additionally, the music will also be incredible with NOFX and Bad Religion headlining.

What to Expect at Ye Scallywag!

At the festival, guests will have the opportunity to taste complimentary craft beer and wine samples from the best breweries and wineries in California! For early entry visitors, this exciting experience will take place from 11am-4pm, while general admission guests can enjoy from 12pm-4pm. In addition, Ye Scallywag! will feature a variety of pop-up restaurants and artisan food trucks. This will give guests the opportunity to taste unique dishes throughout the entire the day and evening. The festival’s live music will continue into dusk, ending at 7pm, while breweries and wineries will offer  beverages for purchase after 4pm.

The BMW of Escondido Main Stage will host the live music. Bad Religion, NOFX, Goldfinger, Reel Big Fish, Against Me! and Wakrat are the wonderful bands that will perform at Ye Scallywag!

Breweries and Wineries at Ye Scallywag!

Some of the breweries that will offer their tasty beers include Bottle Logic Brewing (Anaheim, CA), Burning Beard Brewing (San Diego, CA), Clown Shoes (Ipswich, MA), Mikkeller SD (San Diego, CA), Fall Brewing (San Diego, CA), and Modern Times ( San Diego, CA).

The variety of wineries that are hosted include Rebel Coast (Paso Robles, CA), Maggio (Lodi, CA), William Hill, (Napa Valley, CA), Dry Creek (Sonoma, CA), Old Soul, (Lodi, CA), Chronic Cellars (Paso Robles, CA).

The festival’s organizers will announce the restaurant and food-truck vendors soon.

Producers and Artists Alike Excited for the Festivities

One of the co-producers of the festival, Cameron Collins of Brew Ha Ha Productions, promises the event will be a good time. He quotes, “Scallywag! will be unlike any legitimate craft beer or wine event ever produced…We are bringing in some of the most sought after and award-winning breweries in the country as well as some incredible wineries from Paso Robles, the Napa Valley, Central Coast and beyond all set to the music of artists like Bad Religion. We’ve really got something special here!”

Hallron of 91X’s also expresses his excitement,“Ye Scallywag! will be the perfect San Diego event to make one truly grateful for this wondrous California lifestyle. The craftiness of the beer, wine, food and bands will prove that indeed, San Diego has the best. I am looking forward to an amazing day.”

Fat Mike, part of the musical headliner NOFX, even adds his own anticipation. He says,“When I started NOFX in 1983 I dreamed of being a scallywag one day, at least by the time I was 50. Well, not only am I a scallywag, but I’m also playing the scallywag festival! Ps. What’s a scallywag? Is that like being a pirate?”

General Admission and VIP tickets are available for purchase. Please note this is event is only for ages 21+. Every ticket gains visitors access to the beer tasting, wine tasting, and the live music. Other information about each type of ticket’s benefits is listed below.

There will be an easy-access drop off area for taxis and ride sharing at Ye Scallywag!  The Green Line to the Santa Fe Depot, San Diego’s Santa Fe Depot train station, is also only three blocks from the festival’s site at Waterfront Park.
